I've yet to read Jules Verne, but I've been told that Twenty Thousand Leagues doesn't end too well. I also sincerely hope not to find myself 20,000 leagues under the sea unintentionally, so I'll plagiarize the title but I'm going to leave the plot alone. This is my blog to keep everyone at home up to date on my life on the other side of the Atlantic. Now if you could all just do the same for me :)
I leave in 5 days for Rimsting, Germany (about an hour from Munich and 40 minutes from Salzburg, Austria). I'll be au-pairing (nannying) for a Dutch family with two girls, ages 3 and 7. This marks the start of what I hope is a travel-filled year! Thanks for reading!
Looking forward to the updates, this is such a good idea.
Relieved you landed well.
Love you
Dad

You'll have a great year, Marilyn! And those Dutch kids are lucky to have you for a nanny.

This is such a great way to travel, Marilyn, helping a family. You will really be a blessing to those lucky kids. We will be praying for you. Sure hope you keep a written journal, maybe with some sketches (remember its in your bones!) Uncle Ralph
